Frequently asked questions about Bras & Tops
There are several types of bras and tops, each with its own function and look:
- Bralette — a soft, wireless bra, often lace. Comfortable for daily wear or as lingerie
- Push-up bra — provides extra volume and lift through padded cups
- Balconette bra — a half-cup design that lifts and creates a beautiful neckline
- Open cup bra — a bra with open cups for a daring look
- Cupless bra — frames the breasts without covering them
- Crop top — a short top, often lace or mesh, as an alternative to a bra
Determine your bra size in two steps:
- 1Measure underbust — the circumference just below your breasts. This is your band size
- 2Measure overbust — the fullest point of your breasts. The difference determines your cup size
| Difference | Cup size |
|---|---|
| 12-14 cm | A |
| 14-16 cm | B |
| 16-18 cm | C |
| 18-20 cm | D |
For lingerie sets sold in S/M/L, use your regular clothing size. Always check the product size chart.
The best material depends on the purpose:
- Lace — elegant and ideal as lingerie. Less support, more aesthetics
- Satin — smooth, glossy, and luxurious. Feels cool against the skin
- Microfibre — soft, breathable, and invisible under clothing. Suitable for daily wear
- Mesh — light and sheer, for a subtly seductive look
- Cotton — breathable and hypoallergenic, ideal for sensitive skin
A bra lasts longer with proper care:
- Hand wash is best — lukewarm water with mild detergent
- Machine wash in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle at 30°C
- Never tumble dry — heat damages elastic and underwires
- Rotate — do not wear the same bra every day. Elastic needs time to recover
- Store bras with cups nested, not flattened
